i love sesame street! :D
the songs are mighty nice and easy to sing along to! (:

its funny how sesame street has watched me (or everyone) grow up.
but its only now that i realised that sesame is really a family-friendly show and how it really teaches and instills values in the young'uns.
i still remember that ever since around secondary school, whenever the channel starts showing sesame street, i would simply switch the channel over to some other show that seem to be much more sophisticated, maybe its because it provided zero entertainment for me.
well, its been some time since i've watched sesame anyways.

but i managed to sit through a whole episode of it today!
not that it was any torture tho. :D
its interesting how sesame street tries to instill the differences in the community in children.
today's episode was about families,
the part about elmo's world anyways.
when there was a clip showing about families,
the genre of familes shown was not the atypical ones about a happy golden-haired perfect family.
but they showed familes from the street,
asian familes, black families, mixed familes, gay families, single parent familes.
its not about promoting about the allamerican family who lives in a house with white picket fances who's financially stable with children with good grades and a golden retriever.
it tells us that familes are everywhere,
families dont have to become the all-american family just to succeed as a family but as long as you've got people who love you,
that's plenty enough. (:

its funny how a halfhour kids show teaches you so much.
plus i found a new cute muppet!

CURLY BEAR (:

meiji black chocolate still perks my day up! :D
(though it does wonders for my cough :x)

my dreams are only about you. (:
