its time for a really long update after this week when i've been missing in action. of course, some people thought that i just disappeared into thin air. which i normally dont do. anyway, i thought i mentioned to quite a few people the day before i left. nevermind. a big TSK to those who didnt even know i disappeared. :p

travelled to hongkong and spent a few days on some island. i literally managed to travel by all forms of transport, ferry, train, bus and car. the best thing is that i got quite alot of my shopping done. managed to get whatever i wanted to purchase so far. :DD

fabulous ceiling of the island resort. thankfully it was such a nice place. seeing this after 1.5hrs on a ferry and 2hrs travelling by car is like a breath of fresh air.

for no apparent reason, the general manager of the resort just had to pick us up from the ferry terminal and he JUST had to drive so slowly at 20km/h (noticed by my brother) for a mere 45km, the distance from the ferry terminal to the resort. thankfully my ipod allowed me to submerge in the midst of pretending i'm at home blasting music on my bed. rahh!

yah. there was a world cup fever in the resort. world cup apparel was sold everywhere, all imitation i'm sorry to say. and throughout breakfast there was world music ringing repeatedly, and the repetoire only consisted of three pathetic songs and they kept playing on and on and on...

i. want. original. germany. world. cup. jersey.
((:

a few random pictures i took when my family went on pedal boats. naturally, i used taking pictures as an excure to stop rowing. heyy, its not easy trying to row the stupid freakin' boat. in the end, the boat just stopped moving in the middle of the river because everyone had cramps. *note to self: never excite oneself to be outdoorsey and start renting pedal boats EVER again*

on the last day at the resort, we decided to take the hour long journey to the city to shoooopp. my brother and i noticed this thai restaurant board whilst we were stalking for good buys. fish wing?! we stoned there for 15mins just trying to figure out what was fish wings. one of the things i came up with was some sort of new dish involving flying fish wings. before long, i finally realised that 'fish wing' is a direct translation from the chinese term for sharks fin. *diao*

go figure.

just a couple of random pictures i took when we returned to hongkong. all the pictures taken were at the hongkong museum of art. yup, it was time to get all arty farty again. :p

just thought that this statue at the museum was real nice. (:

whilst in hongkong, had dimsum everyday for breakfast. after a while, it got really quite boring because the same food kept popping up. kept drowning myself in tea bcos the food was really getting quite salty.

mango tou hwa. its...interesting for a new experience to my tastebuds. its definitely different. and one other thing, i have no idea whats with hongkongers and mangoes. i see mangoes EVERYWHERE. its not that mangoes are really cheap over there. *shrugs* every dessert house i went to had some form of mango dessert listed there.

not many picture in hongkong. because i was shop-shop-shopping. not that i went all around like a crazed freak buying stuff but i basically got lots of shopping done. (:

rahh. missed out on lots of outings whilst i was away. ):
